Common fixes
I'm not getting birthday alerts
In Birthday Radar, open Settings and check that Notifications says On and Birthday alerts is turned on. If Notifications says Off, tap it to open iOS Settings and allow notifications. Focus modes can also silence alerts — add Birthday Radar to your allowed apps if you use one.
Some contacts didn't import
Only contacts with a birthday saved in the Contacts app can be imported. If Birthday Radar can't see your contacts at all, open iOS Settings, tap Apps, then Birthday Radar, then Contacts, and allow access. On the free plan, imports stop at 10 people.
Calendar scan found nothing
The scan looks for events that repeat every year or have “birthday” in the title. Events in the system Birthdays calendar are skipped because they already come from Contacts — import those with Contacts instead.
I hit the 10-person limit
The free plan tracks up to 10 people. Upgrade to Premium from Settings, or remove someone from their card to make room.
I want to switch plans
Monthly and annual subscribers can switch anytime: open Settings, tap Premium active, then View plans, and choose a different plan.
How to restore purchases
Premium is tied to your Apple ID, not to an account with us. On a new iPhone or iPad, or after reinstalling:
- Make sure you're signed in to the App Store with the same Apple ID you used to buy Premium.
- Open Birthday Radar and go to Settings.
- Tap Birthday Radar Premium to open the plans screen.
- Tap Restore Purchases at the bottom of the screen.
- If Premium is found, you'll see a confirmation and the 10-person limit is lifted. If you see “Nothing to restore yet”, no Premium purchase exists on that Apple ID.
To cancel, open Settings in Birthday Radar and tap Manage or cancel subscription. See our Terms of Use for how cancellation works, or browse the full FAQ.
